Next Volunteer Facilitator Training:  July 2010

Josie's Place is pleased to announce that we will be conducting a training this summer for those interested in becoming a volunteer facilitator for our school-based groups.  Each group will meet for 50 minutes during the school day, in one of the San Francisco public schools, for 10 consecutive weeks. 

We are looking for individuals who have had experience with children or teens, and experience with death and grief -  or who have a sincere interest in this work.  Applicants must be willing to commit to co-facilitating at least 2 groups over a 1-year period.

The students we support in these groups come from diverse ethnic and racial communities.  People of color and bi-lingual speakers are encouraged to apply.

Traning Dates:

Wednesday July 14  6-9
Saturday    July 17 10 -6
Saturday    July 24  10-6
Sunday      July 25  10-6
Wednesday July 28 6-9

There will be a follow-up in-service training for all school-based group facilitators:
 
Wednesday 8/11  6-9

Trainees must attend every day of the training.
